The Philodendron Pink Princess (Philodendron erubescens ‘Pink Princess’) is a highly sought-after aroid cultivar, prized for its dramatic, heart-shaped leaves that combine deep green—often verging on black—with striking bubblegum-pink patches and splashes. This visual effect is created by chimeral variegation caused by irregular chlorophyll distribution.
A vining plant, it typically grows 60–120 cm tall indoors when supported, with a spread of 30–60 cm, and thrives in tropical-like conditions under bright, indirect light. It requires an airy, well-draining substrate, moderate watering—allowing the topsoil to dry between waterings—and consistent humidity and warmth to maintain its vivid variegation.
Because the pink leaf sections lack chlorophyll, cultivating this plant is a balancing act between light, moisture, and nutrient input. When cared for well, the Philodendron Pink Princess is a luxurious, living work of art, bringing bold visual drama to any indoor collection.
